Set amidst lush green gardens and trees, this charming heritage home offers a tranquil and scenic location. Guests can visit the nearby Sree temple or take a backwaters tour from the starting point nearby. Rooms are spacious with private balconies overlooking the gardens. the staff is friendly and responsive, allowing for an early check-in and arranging houseboat tours.

Facilities such as room service and television could benefit from improvement.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Tharavadu - A Heritage Hotel in Kumarakom. The spacious and clean room had a balcony that offered stunning views of the lush garden. The staff, especially Alex the owner, were extremely friendly and helpful. The freshly cooked food was the highlight of my trip, surpassing even the 5-star hotels I stayed at in Delhi and Mumbai. Despite the early morning temple songs, I found earplugs to be effective in ensuring a peaceful sleep. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

    Very good
    7.2

Loved the beautiful, historic building and the friendly staff at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with hot water available 24/7. The location was great, just a short walk to the boat jetty and easily accessible by buses that stop right outside. Plus, the on-site restaurant served tasty local dishes.

While the room itself was great, the balcony wasn't really usable due to the presence of mosquitoes. , the food at the restaurant was a bit pricey compared to other places in the area.
